  • COACH NICOLE

    LMT, CFSC, SFMA, FRCms

Nicole is the head strength & conditioning coach and founder of Muscle Mind Movement. Nicole has worked with clientele of all age ranges, levels of experience, and injury history. From your desk-bound Jockey to Olympic and professional athletes, she has witnessed firsthand that with the right guidance and correct dosage of exercise, all can prosper and improve their human potential.

As a graduate of Psychology and Philosophy, a Licensed Massage Therapist, and a Strength & Conditioning Coach, Nicole has made it her life mission to use the tools of exercise, movement, and mindset as a catalyst for demolishing all personal and physical barriers.

After graduating from Suffolk University in 2014, Nicole attended the Academy of Personal Training-where the beginning of her love for fitness began. This led her on to complete an internship, followed by six years of employment, at the mecca of all gyms, Mike Boyle’s Strength and Conditioning. While working full-time as a strength coach, Nicole received her Licensure in Massage Therapy from Cortiva Institute, which led to her becoming part of the Movement as Medicine team. Playing the role of a strength coach and massage therapist, allowed Nicole to expand her knowledge about injury mitigation and rehab.

After years of hands-on experience and education, Nicole has refined her skillset in treating clientele with a plethora of injuries and very specific goals. In combination with her psychology background, Nicole has developed a unique lens for sport and play that led her to the creation of Muscle Mind Movement. Nicole’s mission is to share her vision of what it means to possess a quality of life, maintain independence, and provide the tools necessary to help others achieve their goals.

Nicole is continuously attending educational courses and staying up to date with the latest research and the most effective modalities. Some of her certifications of completion include, the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC), Functional Range Conditioning (FRC), Functional Release (FR-Lower Extremity), and Positional Release Therapy (PRT – Upper Extremity).

  • COACH SCOTT

    LMT, CFSC, FRCms

Scott was interested in exploring traditional and modern martial arts from a young age. Growing up with a family on the move in New England, the natural world and the wilderness became a second home to him. Working for years as a wilderness survival guide in combination with wrestling directed Scott towards a wide-angle view of human movement and healing.

After going to Hampden-Sydney college for Biology and Chemistry and finding the western minded medical world was not for him; Scott returned to the woods for two years and worked as a guide. In pursuit of expanding his knowledge in the strength and conditioning world, Scott took an internship at Mike Boyles Gym in Boston and got certified as a massage therapist and other manual disciplines. Working for Mike for years as the Martial arts and individual Sport Olympic and Pro Coach.

Working with Movement As Medicine with Kevin Carr in the therapy world, Scott got thousands of hours working with clients in the therapy room one on one.

After taking Travis Stevens on as an athlete before the Rio Olympics Scott became a student in Jiu Jitsu under Travis in trade for training. Still training under Travis to this day seven years later Scott runs his own jiu jitsu classes out of FUJI Martial Arts in Wakefield taking therapy and training clients both there and at Muscle Mind Movement.
